Many Responsibilties

Ink and Watercolor assignment subject was flying machine like the Redbull Flug tag contests w/ our natural style of drawing. Mine is a organically powered flying machine...cough.
Next up is a tight pencil for my CF payne technique currently working on. The subject is actor or musician I am using Toby Maguire as my muse... awesome technique.

Slog N My Blog

Man oh man I have not blogged in a while(3 weeks to be exact)but Im back w/ some new projects in progress and sketches from figure drawing. This quarter I am taking an Animal Anatomy for Creature design under the Sequential art Professor Sean Crystal. I must say I am learning a lot in this class filled w/ Graduate and Undergraduate talent. I learn something new almost everyday from these talented guys. We have been going to the zoo for three weeks now(post zoo sketches later) and studying animal construction from observation and referencing The Weatherly Guide to Drawing Animals an AWEsoME BOOK!! These are my shapes that I went through to get to my creature (I will post design and final rendering later).

Mo' money Mo' Money!!

3rd Illustration project for my materials and techniques class. The objective was to
communicate one of four words that my professor listed:network, colloboration, investment and the last word escapes me. The target audience are banks, annual reports, or stock exchanges.
I wont tell which word I used out of the three I listed, I rather you be able to visually see it in my piece and tell me. The chosen medium for the assignment was watercolors( a medium I'm becoming very fond of) and pastels. b e z

Finished

Actually finished this 2 weeks ago but took while to scan very busy at SCAD! Decided to play more with the compliments to pop the foreground w/ the bears versus the background w/ the sunset and mountain range. Done using watercolors and colored pencil. Think I like the combination of the two mediums.

Just did this Color Comp for my Materials and Techniques class for a

illustrating endangered animals. Quick color sketch in photoshop the actual image will be
done with watercolors and colored pencils.

Predator VS Predator

Hidden pictures project for my illustration class done in any way(style wise)we wanted.
I wanted an comic book kinda style so I referenced the great artist Kevin Nowlan and Adam Hughes. This was my first time doing an inking like this, always room for improvement

Chim Chim

Ad Project I did last year in spring. Had to depict any animal advertising a product using an ink technique called stippling. Just getting around to uploading. Lots more work coming soon.

Work I did last quarter for my storyboarding class. The goal was to draw one naturalistic representation and the other was to draw a cartoon counterpart. Pretty fun assignment the first pic is a friend I got to pose, the second is reference from online.
